Testimonials - Hear it from Our Satisfied Customers:

We would Love to Hear from You Too - contact us!

Gerry, Thanks for the invitation
to attend your customer appreciation event. All of my troops had a tough morning doing hose testing and were thrilled to head over and play at your place. We had a great time. Pete will be happy to know that a large group of our guys were very impressed with the new battery operated Hurst Tools (they were told to put it on their Christmas list). In addition the Streamlight LED conversion and acquisition of the large spot Streamlights looks very promising.
For me, it was a great time to see some old friends and swap stories with the retired or soon-to-be-retired guys. Geez, I must be really old.
Finally, thanks for allowing placement of the sign favoring the Town of Delafield fire station referendum. The issue means a lot to us and your support with the sign placement is huge.
Thanks very much for all the courtesies.
Dean B. Richards
Chief, Town of Delafield Fire Department

Dear Jeff Lange:
I would like to thank you for providing extrication equipment for use during our Fall Fire School. This event is held every year and is an excellent opportunity for firefighters from around the area to practice the skills necessary to perform their jobs safely and effectively. This could not be done without the tremendous support from local businesses and citizens that we receive.
Thanks again, Brock A. Schmitt
President, IAFF Local 555, Galesburg Fire Fighters Association

The FDNY touts the Blaze Fighter on their website.
As you probably know, we recently received the exciting news that the Blaze Fighter was selected by the New York City Fire Department as their new fire glove. The FDNY is so pleased with Blaze Fighter, that they placed a story about the gloves on their website. Here’s an excerpt from their story:
They were in development for more than a year.

They’re manufactured by a company that once made gear for industrial workers, racecar drivers
and the U.S. military.

What are they? New, state-of-the-art gloves for FDNY firefighters.
Our selection by the FDNY and this story provides a tremendous marketing and publicity tool that we can use with our potential customers. The link to the story is: www.nyc.gov

NEW HURST JAWS OF LIFE eDRAULIC RESCUE TOOL USED IN RECENT
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

– “The spreader performed door removal, fender crush, dash lift and sidewall spread techniques to ultimately free the trapped patient.”
On September 2, 2010, Lake Country Fire and Rescue (serving Chenequa, Nashotah, and Delafield, WI) was dispatched to the scene of a one-vehicle MVA with reported entrapment. Responding units were advised of two patients, one of which was pinned and unconscious. Due to the nature and proximity of the call, Lt. Peter Walker responded directly to the scene. On arrival, Lt. Walker assumed command and reported one vehicle broadside vs. tree with severe damage and extensive extrication needed. A medical helicopter was requested but unavailable.
Additional arriving units (one Chief, one shift commander, two engines, and three ambulances) commenced extrication of the pinned victim. Because of severe B-post intrusion (>20”), multiple hydraulic tools and reciprocating saws were deployed to expedite the operation.
Lt. Walker, who is also a sales rep for 5 Alarm Fire and Safety, a Hurst distributor, had recently placed the SP300E eDraulic spreader in his vehicle for demonstrations at local departments. The spreader, with only 50% battery life remaining, was deployed during this rescue to augment the truck hydraulics.
The spreader performed door removal, fender crush, dash lift, and sidewall spread techniques to ultimately free the trapped patient. These were performed simultaneously with roof removal operations and cross-ramming maneuvers. With no additional hydraulic lines needed, the spreader was seamlessly incorporated into the existing system. It was a good complement to the selector-valve power unit, which would haveotherwise limited operation to one tool at a time. The spreader became a valuable asset that reduced the overall patient removal time. The patient was extricated in 37 minutes, and the spreader was still operational when the patient was removed.

Dear Gerry:
It was a real pleasure to meet you last week at FDIC.
Thanks for your offer of boots and helmets for Rotary’s Mexico Initiative Project. It seems that those two items are the most difficult to come by. Again, thank you.
I also want to repeat to you the tremendous help Mike Kadinger has been to this most excellent humanitarian project. Since Rotary started sending fire trucks and equipment to Mexico (about four years ago), Mike has located trucks about to retire, as well as absolutely tons of equipment, I have sung the praises of Mike and 5 Alarm all across Indiana.
I have been a salesman all of my adult life and I know the value of clients seeing me doing good in areas other than trying to sell them something. I know Mike takes great pride in the very important party he has played in this success. Again, thank you.
Sincerely,
Claude R. Johnson

. I have been dealing with Joli, and she has been a complete pleasure to work with. She is friendly and wants to make sure that the little things are taken care of. I know my order is only for one helmet, but she made me feel as if I was a major customer.
If there were only more people out there with this type of servitude. More people like her increase sales, and repeat sales for a company.
She is worth more than her salary. You can't equate the customer feeling into dollars.
Thank you,
Thom
